Do you worry about being hacked while on the internet? Do you want to know how you can be safer while using your computer or mobile phone?

A VPN or a Virtual Private Network essentially allows you to browse the internet anonymously by going through a private network when accessing shared or public sites. If you are someone who worries about your safety while online, a VPN is a great way to ensure your safety.

These days there are so many different types of VPNs out there to choose from and choosing the best one comes down to you. However, here are 5 reasons why you need a VPN

Allow Torrenting

In today’s day and age, most people have found themselves using the internet daily for multiple different reasons, and often, this could be a safety risk, or on the other hand, you may not get access to everything you would like to have access to based purely on your location.

Torrenting is yet another thing that the internet typically frowns upon and can be tricky for some. However, if you are looking to torrent various things whether it is music, movies, or something else, having a VPN is just the thing for you. Some VPNs, including many free ones, do not support port forwarding. This can be a major problem if you need to use port forwarding for certain applications, such as torrenting. However, there is port forwarding on some VPNs, so it’s important to do your research before choosing one.

VPNs allow you to torrent with ease and not have anything disrupt or interrupt you, or even stop or halt the process.

Privacy

By far, the biggest and most prominent reason why people make use of VPNs is because of the privacy that they offer. VPN stands for virtual private network and essentially allows you to browse the internet as if you were a different network, by going through a private network.

This enables you to be safe from things such as hacking and scams, as well as keep your information private and protect you overall. Your IP address is hidden and untraceable which makes it far safer to browse the internet without any kind of risk.

Changes your location

Location is a big issue when it comes to the internet, and unfortunately, some countries just don’t allow access to certain websites or content. This is often quite unreasonable and doesn’t have much meaning behind it, but it does mean that you are restricted in what you can see on the internet.

With that said, if you want unlimited access to the websites on the internet, you should consider using a VPN. VPNs allow you to change your location digitally on the device that you are using, which therefore means that you can access restricted sites that are only available in other countries.

This is also great when it comes to streaming services such as Netflix and you can access different countries’ versions of these streaming platforms to unlock a whole world of entertainment.

Improves Internet speed and connection

Not only is using a VPN great when it comes to your privacy and unlocking a whole lot more of the internet, but it is also really great when it comes to improving your internet speed and your connection to the internet.

A VPN and change your internet speed and improve the connection, especially for those who have reached a data limit or whose Wi-Fi is being throttled.

Budget-Friendly

Last but not least, we have VPNs on a budget. These days there are so many different VPNs that one can choose from, and a lot of the choices should be based on what you can afford and what you are willing to budget to pay for a VPN.

While yes, there are free ones available, they aren’t the best and don’t work very well. However, as soon as you start paying for them, they get exponentially better, and you are likely to notice a difference right away.

The more expensive ones typically have far more to offer and are much better in the long run, however, you do not have to break the bank for a VPN and the cheaper ones work well too. You should be choosing a VPN based on what works for you and what you can afford too.
