If you are already tired of Las Vegas or would like to tip your toe in some new waters, check out the list below and plan your next trip. Who knows, maybe one of these destinations will become your new favorite?

The best gambling destinations in the United States

  1. Las Vegas, Nevada

The list must, of course, be started with the legendary Las Vegas, which is located in the middle of the desert in the state of Nevada. Las Vegas was founded in the early 1900’s and today, it is a home for dozens of casinos and hotels. The city has a lot to offer in addition to casino games, which is why many make a nice vacation out of visiting Las Vegas.

You will be able to scour all the amazing and famous casinos, such as Caesars and Bellagio. In addition, you will get to see amazing shows, performers, and experience the wild nightlife. Though online casino sites have increased their popularity over the years, nothing beats visiting a brick-and-mortar casino in Las Vegas.

  1. Atlantic City, New Jersey

The state of New Jersey is one of the few where online gaming is legal in addition to brick-and-mortar casinos. Atlantic City is located in the south of New Jersey right by the beach, which is why many players are lured to spend a nice vacation there. You will get to visit many casinos and take a little beach vacation at the same time. Most of the casinos are part of a bigger chain, some of which you can also come across in Las Vegas, such as Harrah’s or MGM.

Atlantic City also offers a ton of other activities in addition to gambling, such as performances and shows.

  1. Foxwoods, Connecticut

The state of Connecticut, attached to the state of New York on the east coast, is not necessarily the first place you would think about when you think of gambling destinations in the States. However, the Native American Mashantucket Pequot Tribe owns a huge casino resort in Foxwoods, Connecticut. The casino has tons of slots and table games: they feature around 4800 slots and 380 table games.

In addition to gambling, the resort offers possibilities to experience golf, movies, performances, concerts, bowling, and much more. So, it is safe to say that here you will not get bored.

  1. Biloxi, Mississippi

Biloxi in Mississippi is one of the major casino cities in the United States, excluding Las Vegas, of course. Initially, Biloxi only offered river boat casinos, but after hurricane Katrina hit, they started offering brick-and-mortar casinos as most of the river boats were destroyed. You will find some big and luxurious casino brands here, such as Harrah’s.

Mississippi might be a ways out for many, but if you are a true gambling fan, you might want to check this one out, too.

  1. Chicago, Illinois

In Chicago, you will get to visit an area called Chicagoland, where you will find a bunch of fantastic casino destinations not too far from the Chicago downtown area. The tall skyscrapers offer amazing views, and some even say that on a clear day, you can see as far as Indiana.

Chicago is said to be the third biggest gambling destination in the United States, and it in fact brings in about $2,5 billion dollars of revenue every year from gambling. And of course, Chicago offers plenty of other activities and entertainment, too.

  1. New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans is a town for people who like culture and good food. This southern town is very historical and offers a lot to do besides gambling, too. Gamblers get to visit some of the biggest casino chains and play hundreds of slots and table games. Before, many were excited to visit New Orleans because they were able to get on a boat and travel along Mississippi while placing bets. However, hurricane Katrina affected New Orleans too, which is why most casinos are located inland now.

New Orleans is by far one of the most unique and interesting towns in the United States, and definitely worth checking out whether you are a gambler or not. The food and the mixture of different cultures alone is already something that you will remember for the rest of your life.
