The Work Should Be Your Priority

We are all human beings and we all sometimes need leisure time during work. That is perfectly understandable and you should relax every once in a while at work. But, you should not allow your leisure time to hurt your productivity. For example, if you love playing games like the ones you can find at or browsing social media, you should only do those things when you are on your break. When you are at your desk, you should only be working. Trust us, this will reduce the distractions and it will improve your productivity.

Find A Secluded Desk

Even people who do not waste their own time at work get distracted by their coworkers. The other people in the office can be loud and disrespectful. If that happens, one of the best things you can do is to find a secluded desk and separate yourself from the rest of the crowd. You will still be in the office, but you will not be distracted by other people. This is especially important if you do creative work.

Bring Headphones

If the office where you work is too small and you simply do not have the option of sitting at a secluded desk, then headphones are your best option when it comes to isolation from your coworkers. If they talk too much during work hours, then you can simply put on your headphones and listen to some calming music that will reduce distractions and help you be more productive. Many people worry that they will seem rude when they put on headphones in the middle of the office, but that is not rude. Simply explain to your coworkers that headphones help you be more productive and no one will take it personally.
